I met Rick when he was working in the petroleum industry with Imperial Oil in 1988. He eventually left the private sector to work for Canada's public service, and later became Deputy Principal for the Canadian Centre for Management Development, playing a key role in transforming the Centre in support of La Relève and in establishing professional coaching in the federal public service.

Rick is a leadership consultant and Certified Human Resources Professional, and holds a Ph.D. in organizational behavior. He currently teaches graduate level courses at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Management and the School of Public Administration, in addition to consulting on high-leverage change initiatives for international companies and federal agencies and departments. We share an appreciation of the value of natural curiosity, quiet reflection and attentive listening.
